Catalyst bed supports are parts used in chemical reactors to support solid catalysts or molecular sieves from bottom and top, and also to regulate inlet and outlet flows. They are usually shaped as balls between 5 – 75 mm. made of ceramics or alumina.
They can also be manufactured in different shapes and sizes according to client’s requirements. It is important that the material should be inert and durable against thermal and mechanical shocks. Catalyst supports are mainly employed by petroleum refining, petrochemicals, fertilizer, and steel industries.
