Refining Plants and Equipment

We represent Kumar Metal Industries, who are one of the most reputable companies in India with more than 70 years of experience. Established in 1939, they manufacture all kinds of machinery, equipment and plants for vegetable oil industry. They also undertake manufacturing jobs of Crown Iron Works in India as their business partner.

The term “refining” is used here involves all the processes crude vegetable oils undergo until they become edible or reach to the end user in desired quality. There have been some changes in the 6 basic processes in refining which we can designate as Degumming, Neutralization, Washing, Bleaching, Winterization (Dewaxing), and Deodorization and in equipment used in these processes in recent years. Priorities are being given to replace batch systems with continuous systems, to more efficient use of steam and energy, to minimization of losses and waste, and to production of stable products at better quality.

On the other hand, refining still remains as an art although scientific basis of refining technology has been improving albeit slowly.

Kumar Metal Industries have accumulated knowledge and got expertise over the years and are able to take on commitments for design and manufacture of all equipment required in an oil refinery, excepting centrifugal separators, both for physical and chemical processing either as a whole or in parts at capacities between 50-300 tons/day. Both manually operated and fully automated designs are available for turnkey projects.
